A life-size cow in a garden is a landmark, a conversation starter and a nod to Switzerland. Here is the practical information to know before choosing yours.
Which size for a garden?
For a garden or terrace, the life-size format is the most common: H140 to H155 cm high and L215 to L235 cm long depending on the model (head up or head down). For a balcony or a small terrace, the intermediate H67 cm size or the cow bench (H100 × L198 cm), which you can sit on, are good alternatives.
What are life-size cows made of?
Kuhtag life-size pieces and benches are made of fibreglass-reinforced resin, sturdier than resin alone. A life-size cow weighs about 45 to 50 kg. Every piece is of Swiss design, sculpted and hand-painted by our partner workshops in Europe, then inspected and shipped from Switzerland.
Can it stay outdoors all year round?
Yes, our cows are designed for indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend the gloss (varnished) finish, which protects and brings out the colours. Care is limited to a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive products. If your cow ever chips or fades, our restoration service can restore it on quotation.
How much does a life-size cow cost?
- Ready to paint (white): from CHF 1,490
- Painted (Colours of Switzerland, designer pieces): from CHF 1,990
- Cow bench: from CHF 2,200
Personalisation (a 15-character first name, date or team name and a sticker) is available for CHF 250 on life-size pieces.
Lead time and delivery
